Intro
Margarites in the most famous ceramist village in Crete, with a tradition dating from the Minoan times! More than 20 ceramists are still practising the art of pottery and displaying their pieces on the walls or in front of their shops. Both traditional and modern ceramics are sharing the spotlight in this charming and colorful village.
Learn about the history of the village and meet one of the artists who will teach you how to make your own vase! After a presentation of the tricky pots from Minoan period, you will be able to manipulate the Cretan clay extracted from the mountains nearby, and to create your own work of art in an exclusive pottery workshop.
Finally, enjoy a typical Cretan meze lunch in a local taverna, where your private wine guide and sommelier will give you all the tips and secrets on how to taste wine like an expert.
